Soft cover station
With Ondematic, Fastbind is initiating an innovative
concept: the soft cover work station. Fastbind's Ondematic
is developed especially to prepare and finish the book
covers both in digital and print-on-demand environment.
It is optimized to work with Fastbind ’s new generation
of binding machines and is designed to be installed
under Fastbind Optima, Elite and Secura perfect binders.
Electrical creasing machine
Fastbind Ondematic is firstly an electric creasing
machine. It easily registers the front of the cover and
makes the creases using two precision creasing blades.
Ondematic can score almost any paper or cardboard up to
300 g/m for covers up to A4+format.
It allows two simultaneous creases with 7 mm distance,
in two opposite directions (one up and one down). This
feature produces automatically the crease for folding
the cover and a sharp groove for a better open ability
and nicer appearance of the finished book.
Electric trimmer
The uniqueness of this soft cover station is the
integrated electric trimmer: you prepare, bind and trim
you book in one unique position. You gain time and
efforts: no more need to move from one place to another.
For a simpler operation, the creaser and trimmer are
activated from the same foot pedal.
Light version available
If you don ’t need the trimmer, you can choose the
Fastbind Ondematic Light version. Ondematic Light
guarantees a sharp score in card, paper, PVC coated
cardboard, and numerous other materials.
